Signature moves.
Things i think about a lot.
*When i was a kid, there was a neighbor named Toby Tompkins, who was developmentally delayed and attended "special ed." My mom was friends with her mom. And for several years, on her birthday, in November, my younger siblings and Torie and I would throw her a surprise birthday party in her basement.
*When i was at "girls camp," a church summer camp, one year i was playing hide and seek and i barged into this tent and wound up lying next to this girl who was depressed, distraught, and crying. I forgot all about the "game" I was playing, and I laid there with her and comforted her, for a very long time.
*One time on a field trip to the state Capitol in Sacramento, I saw a homeless man pushing a cart full of soda cans. I happened to have a soda can, so i ran up to him and said, "Here, you can have my soda can." (i remember because the teacher was very upset. ha).
*I have a lot of memories like this.
